About Coach Hansen

Having served as a Performance Psychologist to athletes from juniors to Olympians, and being a National Coach himself, Coach Hansen knows what performing under pressure is like, and understands that motivation on its own has little value. What’s critical would be the Mindset to bounce back stronger from inevitable setbacks, and to acquire the psychological skills to focus under pressure.

In addition to working with athletes, Coach Hansen brings together the skills and experience from coaching and performance psychology to help business leaders and sales professionals develop resilience and to grow their bottom line. More importantly, he helps his clients achieve this without compromising on their mental wellbeing.

Coach Hansen’s academic qualifications are in Psychology and Physical Education. He began his career as a Physical Education Teacher and subsequently served as a Sport and Psychology Coach, and Assistant Director for Coaching Development at the Singapore Sport Institute (SSI). 

His current appointments include – Coach Developer for CoachSG, Coach Educator for the International Olympic Committee, National Goalball Coach and Mental Performance Coach for the Singapore Golf Association and Valor Performance.

Hansen is recognized as a strong advocator for Inclusion and was the recipient of the Singapore Disability Sports Coach Award in 2019 and 2021. He is also actively working alongside CoachSG to help sport coaches integrate the teaching of psychological skills with their coaching practices.
